About us

Our translation agency Verlingua was founded in 2008 by Christophe Vercruysse, former lecturer at the University of Mons and Ghent University of Applied Sciences, and sworn translator at the Court of First Instance in Kortrijk.

Today, Verlingua has grown into a dynamic team, united by a shared goal: to deliver clear communication, high-quality translations, and a fast service.

Our team

Behind Verlingua stands a dedicated team of translators, each with their own native language and specialism

Our project managers ensure quality, timelines, and clear communication, so everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Hobbies

After a busy day, the best way to make me happy is with a good book, a walk, or spending time with horses. And of course, I’d never say no to a fun night out.
With a background in communication management and business economics, I like to combine strategy with a personal approach. In my work, I focus on building strong partnerships and finding solutions that really work for the client.
You’ll find that balance between thinking and doing outside of work too: staying active, but also enjoying the little moments.

With my background as a business translator and interpreter and my passion for languages, I enjoy helping to ensure communication is clear and smooth. Whether it’s translating, coordinating projects or teaching language lessons: I love bringing people closer together through language.
In my spare time, I like to alternate between walking, swimming and getting out and about. Travelling and camping give me energy and inspiration.

With my background in interpreting and translation, I like to work with precision and structure. As a project manager, I ensure that everything runs smoothly and that clients can count on clear communication and thorough follow-up.
In my spare time, I like to keep active, or I head out for a walk with my dog.

Hobbies

My weakness? I’m a fan of anything with truffle: truffle pasta, truffle pizza or burrata with truffle – you can always wake me up for that.
In my work, it’s all about connection. Language is more than just words: it helps people feel at ease and truly communicate with one another. During my lessons, I try to make learning as practical and enjoyable as possible, so that people not only speak better Dutch/French/German, but also have the confidence to actually use it.
In my spare time, you’ll find me outdoors. Running, walking, cycling or relaxing on a sunny terrace – as long as it involves a bit of exercise and relaxation.

You can make me happy with a tasty tartiflette on a skiing holiday or with a delicious Italian pasta dish on a summer’s evening.
In my work, I derive particular satisfaction from the feeling that I can really make a difference to people’s lives. A certified translation is often a significant step in someone’s life: settling in Belgium, getting married or starting a job abroad. I enjoy ensuring that this process runs smoothly and correctly.
In my spare time, I love going on adventures: road trips, mountain holidays and city breaks are always on my list. You can also find me out for a walk, on the padel court, at the campsite or enjoying a meal in a restaurant.

You can always make me happy with Moghrabieh from Lebanon, a dish I really enjoy.
What I love most about my work is constantly switching between different languages and the human aspect that comes with it. Language helps people understand one another, and it gives me great satisfaction to be able to play a part in that.
Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, travelling and music. I also like to experiment with mixology and create new cocktails. I also enjoy films and TV series, and you can often find me out cycling or at the swimming pool.

A good plate of Italian pasta always appeals to me.

In my work, I try to make procedures as simple and clear as possible for clients. By guiding them step by step, I help ensure that the whole process feels less daunting and runs more smoothly.

In my spare time, I’m a real gaming addict. Escape games, puzzles and board games are right up my street – I love racking my brains and solving challenges together.
